A little look behind the scenes at a recent production we did with Dermot Bannon in association with Bank of Ireland.
It’s always a great experience to work with a professional such as Dermot and this shoot was no exception. We have had the pleasure of working with him on numerous shoots now over the years and he always keeps things interesting. On this production, we travelled to Furnesswood a new housing estate being constructed by Ardstone homes. This new housing estate has placed the concept of sustainability at it’s the centre and has included some great energy-saving features to these homes. Dermot joined us on the trip to tell us a bit more about the specifics of the features in the homes that make them so forward-thinking and innovative.
We learned that the houses at Furness Wood have been designed to achieve the very best levels of energy efficiency and have upgraded heating and hot water systems to provide Building Energy Rating (BER) A2 rated homes that are compliant with the current Building Regulations and also achieve the efficiency targets of the proposed future Part L Building regulations, coming into effect in 2020. Every home at Furness Wood will feature an innovative air to water heat pump, with zone controls, providing energy efficient central heating and hot water. The homes feature high levels of insulation throughout along with a sophisticated ventilation system that ensures excellent levels of humidity and moisture control.
